Data deletion

Last updated 20 September 2026

If you sent us an enquiry through one of our Facebook or Instagram forms, or through our website, you can ask us to delete what we hold about you. This page explains exactly how to ask, what we need in order to be sure the request is really yours, and how long it takes.

How to ask

Send an email to support@mastercraftorg.com with the subject Data deletion request, and include:

  1. The phone number or email address you gave on the form. This is how we find your record - it is the only thing that reliably identifies it.
  2. The name you gave on the form, if different from the name on your email account.
  3. Roughly when you enquired, and which project or advertisement it was about, if you remember. This is not required, but it helps when the same number appears more than once.
  4. A clear statement that you want your information deleted.

You do not need an account with us, and you do not need to fill in any form to make this request. An ordinary email is enough.

How we check it is you

We will not delete a record on the say-so of someone who cannot show it is theirs - that would itself be a way of attacking someone. Before we delete, we confirm your identity proportionately:

  • If you write from the same email address you gave on the form, that is normally enough.
  • Otherwise we send a confirmation code to the phone number or email address recorded on the enquiry, and you tell us the code. We are confirming control of the contact details already in the record - we are not asking for new ones.
  • We may ask you to confirm a detail already in the record, such as the project you enquired about.

We will never ask you for a password, a one-time banking code, a payment card, or a copy of a government identity document in order to process a deletion request. If you receive such a request claiming to be from us, it is not from us.

How long it takes

  • We acknowledge your request within 5 working days.
  • We complete verification and deletion within 30 days of receiving a verified request. If a request is unusually complex we will tell you before that, and explain why.
  • We confirm in writing once it is done, and tell you anything we had to keep and why.

What gets deleted

  • Your name and contact details.
  • Your answers to the lead form, including the free-text ones.
  • The enquiry record and the activity history attached to it - calls logged, notes, site-visit records.
  • Any documents uploaded against your record.

What we may have to keep, and why

Deletion is not always total, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise:

  • Transaction records. If you went on to a booking or payment, tax and company law require us to keep those records for a set period. We keep the transaction and remove the marketing information around it.
  • Audit entries. Our audit log cannot be edited or deleted - that is what makes it an audit log. Where it names you, we remove or mask the personal information inside the entry and keep the fact that an action occurred.
  • A suppression record. With your agreement we keep the minimum needed - normally a one-way hash of your phone number - purely so that the same advertising does not capture you again and re-create the record you asked us to delete. If you would rather we did not, say so and we will not.

Deleting on Meta's side

Deleting your information here does not remove it from Facebook or Instagram. Meta holds its own copy of a lead you submitted, under its own policies. To deal with that, use the privacy settings in your Facebook or Instagram account, or contact Meta directly. We can only delete our own copy.

If you are not satisfied

Tell us first - write to support@mastercraftorg.com and we will look at it again. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
